Season's greetings and a big THANKS!

Hi everyone and happy holidays! I hope you all had a wonderful time! Now that this crazyness called Christmas is almost over, I finally found a quiet minute to let you know I'm still here. First of all, I want to say THANK YOU for your kind comments on my holiday dresses! I only read them on my mobile during the last couple of days and it made me smile everytime my display lit up. I also want to thank you all for your warm welcome in the sewing community and your good company throughout this year. I am still so fascinated by this bundle of creative people from all over the world who share their inspirations, skills and generally parts of their lives. It somehow feels like I found out about this precious hidden wonderland inside the closet. I'm so glad I can visit everytime I want and I always find nice people to hang out with!

I spent the last days with family and friends and I had a blast. My days were fully packed with lovely get-togethers, a lot of good and unhealthy food and the one and other glass of wine that I really need a rest now. My boyfriend spent Christmas eve with me and my family which I loved. Yesterday we hit the road and drove to meet his family and friends in Bavaria. Today is the first day since last Friday that is reserved for sleeping, hanging out, checking out what I missed in my blog reading list and knitting practice. All of it is utterly needed!

I'm going to leave you with some impressions from the past days and wish you all a good time!

I stamped some fabric and made pillow cases and a tote for my family.

Detail of a really nice christmas decoration my aunt made from an old Latvian storybook.

The castle in my hometown at night, christmas market in the front.

Das Heidelberger Schloss bei Nacht, mit Weihnachtsmarkt im Vordergrund.

Our dinner table and the tree.

Unser festlicher Tisch und der Baum.

The main course I cooked on Christmas eve - beef filet steaks, beans and handmade nut croquettes. The Sauce Café de Paris is missing in the photo ;-)

Two of the sewing-related gifts I got: Sharp little thread scissors, and the book "And Sew to Bed: 20 Vintage-Inspired Projects for the Boudoir". I guess you will see pyjamas on this blog soon.

And Sew to Bed: 20 Vintage-Inspired Projects for the Boudoir".
